1. Commitment to Achieving Net Zero
Anathem Ltd. is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040. This plan will be reviewed annually and updated following each reporting year.
2. Baseline Emissions
Baseline reporting period: 1 August 2025 to 31 July 2026. Organisational boundary: Anathem Ltd. (registered in England and Wales), operating from 14 Highwoods Close, Marlow, SL7 3PG, United Kingdom, consolidated using the operational control approach. This plan covers Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions in full, together with the material Scope 3 categories required under PPN 006.
Operational boundaries
In scope: UK operations at the Marlow office, employee remote-working arrangements, cloud and hosting infrastructure, business travel and employee commuting, waste, water, and purchased goods and services. Out of scope: upstream emissions of capital goods, franchises, investments, and leased downstream assets, as Anathem holds none of these and they are not material to the footprint.
Baseline emissions summary
Total 1.017 tCO₂e (1,016.7 kgCO₂e) for 1 August 2025 to 31 July 2026, at an average carbon intensity of 5.3 kgCO₂e per unit of activity.
3. Emissions Reduction Targets
Anathem Ltd. commits to reducing absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 50% by 2032 against the 2025/26 baseline, and to reducing carbon intensity from 5.3 to below 3.0 kgCO₂e per unit of activity over the same period. Scope 3 emissions, which represent 96% of the baseline footprint, will be addressed through supplier engagement, low-carbon cloud architecture, and travel reduction, with progress reported annually.

Cloud carbon optimisation: right-size workloads, improve scheduling, and track carbon intensity.
Renewable energy procurement and supplier sustainability engagement.
Device lifecycle extension, lower-carbon travel, and remote-working guidance.
5. Declaration and Sign-off
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 006 and reported in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard, using the UK Government GHG Conversion Factors for Company Reporting.
